Tom Dingjan Is Working As A Visual Merchandiser With A Leading Retail Brand

Tom Dingjan is a Thailand based visual merchandiser working with a leading retail brand. He completed his education in Fashion Designing and Retail Management. After completing his studies, he did training under a leading retail store to hone his skills and capabilities. Now, he is working with a topmost retail company where he uses his design skills to help promote the image, products and services of retail businesses. He creates eye catchy products displays in shops and stores. This could mean anything from decorating a store in a festive or seasonal theme- like Christmas, summer or spring sales- to make sure the store displays fit the company’s brand image.

Tom Dingjan uses his creativity to enhance the aesthetic appeal of window displays, walkways, counters and in-store displays. In basic terms, he sets up displays, dummies dressing, arranging screens, fabric and posters to promote a specific product or offer. He communicates with managers of department stores to determine the floor layout, traffic flow, and display points, as well as what items are to be displayed and how. In addition to this, he contributes to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of a retail location by designing, developing and taking charge of the visual look of the store.

Tom Dingjan also makes sure to delegate the day-to-day care of a store, making sure it is stocked, clean and ready to open. He also changes displays for new products and promotions as needed. He stays abreast with all the latest trends and have a great eye for presenting our collections in an inspiring and commercial way. He is a great team player, a person full of inspiration and enjoys his job. Sometimes, he also trains his colleagues on site, about visual merchandising and garment presentation.
